GoodCook
A road from a WordPress recipe blog to an eCommerce PWA
For over 30 years, GoodCook has been relying on partners to sell their products. The only presence they had was an Amazon store. Recent changes in consumer behavior made GoodCook rethink its business strategy and enhance DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) selling into its operations.
The company had a perfect place to start to expand its online presence – the recipes blog with thousands of daily visitors.
The readiness to innovate and desire to put customers’ needs first encouraged GoodCook to explore the latest technology — Magento PWA.

The brand with over 30-year history
GoodCook is the number-one brand in kitchen tools and gadgets, cookware, and metal bakeware in the food channel. The brand has over 30 years of history and the hearts of millions of US citizens who love cooking. Despite being a well-established company, GoodCook is not afraid to innovate.
GoodCook brand belongs to Bradshaw International, a company specialized in the production of cookware, houseware, and foodservice equipment. Over 100 years of history, the company has proved itself to be a leader in the US market.
Challenge
Before the huge PWA transformation,
GoodCook’s website used to be a recipe blog with thousands of fans from all over the world. Customers moving online pushed GoodCook in the direction of turning the blog into an eCommerce store. The main challenge was to add the eCommerce functionality without losing an ounce of the traffic and users.
Spoiler: mission accomplished
Choosing the right platform
is never easy. Especially if we talk about migration from one solution to another. Magento was the primary choice because the company had already been familiar with it and its power. But GoodCook didn’t stop there.
Why stop at website development,
if a business can go further and build a solution that is lightweight, efficient, provides a seamless user experience, and has a lot more capabilities than a traditional website? Progressive web applications turned out into a decision that ensured a smooth transition from a blog into an eCommerce website without pushing customers away.
Spoiler: the decision paid-off already
Choosing a development company
to do the job was not an easy task. GoodCook had strict requirements for the PWA solution and development team:
- Integration with Magento
- Customization flexibility
- Built-in Page Builder
- Robust blog system
- Ability to integrate with 3rd party solutions
- Experience in Magento
- Successful cases of M2 development
- Experience with PWA and Magento PWA
- Successful cases of PWA implementation
Solution
GoMage caught the eye of GoodCook
because of the GoMage PWA Storefront that met all the requirements. Combined with over 11 years of experience in Magento, GoMage became the driving force behind GoodCook’s transformations and transition to Magento PWA.
GoMage PWA Storefront
has a lot and a bit more to offer:
- Full compatibility with latest Magento versions
- Built-in Page Builder
- Ease of use
- High performance and efficiency
- Out-of-the-box integrations
- One-step checkout
- and much more

We’ve turned our WordPress recipes site into an eCommerce PWA in just five months. Not only didn’t we lose an ounce of our traffic but have already started growing it and getting first sales. I can only imagine the results when we launch our marketing campaign.
Froy Terriquez,Direct to Consumer Website Manager Bradshaw International
The use of GoMage PWA allowed GoodCook to turn a WordPress blog into a Magento PWA store in four months. We took on all the heavy coding and helped to transfer all the information to the new content management system and integrate the GoMage PWA Storefront with Salsify, NetSuite, Klaviyo, Mailgun, and Cybersource. The GoMage team achieved the main goal – to create an uninterrupted and seamless user experience.
Now GoodCook’s visitors can shop the cookware necessary to prepare meals right from the recipes pages. The eCommerce functionality became a nice addition for visitors and a huge step for the GoodCook business. The eCommerce store is already getting sales from its blog with no additional marketing investments.
Magic? No! Just GoMage PWA Storefront doing its miracle!
We continue working with GoodCook…
We continue building on PWA architecture to excel their eCommerce efforts. The project’s roadmap for the next 2 months includes PWA upgrade to the latest version on top of multiple integrations like AccessiBe, Bazaarvoice, Mega Menu, Yotpo Reward system.
